A museum changes its labels — IELTS computer reading

Museum staff noticed that visitors often passed displays without reading the long information panels. They replaced some panels with shorter labels and added optional audio explanations. During a six-week observation period, more visitors stopped at the revised displays. The team could not tell whether the shorter labels or the audio option had caused the change, because both were introduced together. Visitor interviews suggested that several people appreciated being able to choose how much detail to explore. The museum plans to test the two features separately before making changes to every gallery.
